A media bubble isn’t just a digital phenomenon. It’s the way we select information, filter reality, and stop hearing other voices. The 5th edition of the World Between the Lines asked how to practise journalism that challenges assumptions rather than confirming them — and how to notice when our own newsrooms are operating inside a bubble.
We focused on independent media projects and community journalism: from small magazines and podcasts to regional newsrooms – and how to fund, sustain, and grow journalism outside mainstream media.
Our first edition brought together young journalists for international training focused on global storytelling – from migration reporting to podcast creation and field work.
